Shelfy is a food expiry tracking app that helps you manage your fridge and pantry, reduce food waste, and discover recipes based on what you have. Shelfy is provided by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom.
By creating an account or using Shelfy as a guest, you agree to:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at get.shelfyy@gmail.com.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
The food data you add to Shelfy (item names, expiry dates, photos etc.) belongs to you. We don't claim any ownership over your data.
By uploading any images or content to Shelfy, you confirm that you have the right to use that content and that it does not infringe any third party rights including copyright. Images uploaded to Shelfy are processed solely for food identification purposes (barcode scanning and expiry date reading) and are not stored permanently on our servers.
Shelfy is not responsible for user-uploaded content that infringes third party intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Shelfy infringes your copyright, contact us at get.shelfyy@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.
Shelfy is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If and when paid plans are introduced, we will give users reasonable notice and existing users will not be charged without their explicit consent.
In-app purchases may be introduced in future updates. Any purchases will be processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Shelfy uses AI and barcode scanning technology to detect expiry dates. While we aim for accuracy, this technology is not infallible. You should always use your own judgement when assessing whether food is safe to eat. Shelfy is not responsible for any illness, loss or damage arising from reliance on expiry date information provided by the app.
Recipes generated by Shelfy are AI-created suggestions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, suitability or safety of any recipe. Always use your own judgement when preparing food, particularly regarding allergies and dietary requirements.
We aim to keep Shelfy available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We'll try to give advance notice where possible.
We're constantly improving Shelfy. We may add, change or remove features over time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
Shelfy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of Shelfy.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If we make significant changes to these terms we'll notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Shelfy after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
